i got to sit and read all day yesterday. ahh. i can still hear the brain cells screaming:

  • Battle of the Planets #1: $ D worth it because it'll eventually be worth something big. I'm over the nostalgia thing, though. 'cept for joe.
  • Noble Causes #4: $ K BoW
  • Black Panther #47: $ K
  • Call of Duty, The Precinct #1: ยข D. the end.
  • Deadpool #69: $ K
  • Howard the Duck #6: $ K the mini has ended, but it was a good ride.
  • Ultimates #5: $ K people have been talking about this series since day one, and i have liked it okay, but this ish rocked. so much fun.
  • Beautiful Killer #1: $ K i hoped i wouldn't like it. but it's a sexy stylish spy thriller. what could be wrong?
  • Transformers Armada #1: $ D this will probably also double or triple in value, making it worth it, but like i said up top. over the nostalgia. one transformers series is enough.
  • My Monkey's Name is Jennifer #3: $ K i love this book. read it.

i also tracked down Action Comics 775, touted by wizard as the best single comic book issue of 2001. and it was great great great. art, writing, concept. nice execution. also found AC 786, another standalone supes issue, that i really enjoyed. my superman jones is being well serviced by these stand-alone issues... i hope to see more of them in the future.

and i read the danger-girl hardcover, which collects the entire seven issue series, plus the preview and some sketchbook stuff. i love this series. the script is hot, the art is hot, these girls are HOT. and it's pure fun. i was lucky to find it on sale at virgin, as i'd been coveting it for a while, but felt it too expensive. it was indeed worth it, and i'm so glad i picked it up.
