so i read these books a couple days ago, but have been busy here in midtown. yeesh.

  • Batman #605: $ K
good ending to the fugitive brouhaha, but i do wish i knew more about the dud who ended up being the perpetrator. that is, i wishe he were as iconic as his boss, who ended up being potus, lex luthor.
  • Green Arrow #15: $ K D
i realized i don't care about the title character as much as i enjoyed the writing. and now smith is gone, so am i.
  • Sojourn #13: $ K
an interesting stand-alone in a series with nearly imperceptible arcs. that is, the overall story is so huge that arcs exist, but only to further the whole, quite unlike your normal superhero fare. that said, i didn't care for it so much here, but saw its merits.
  • Fused #2: ยข D
well, this issue was about three months late, and it had no synopsis, and i didn't care enough to dig out #1, and i thought the dialogue on the first five pages that i did read was laughable, so bye-bye.
  • Amazing Spider-man #43: $ K
ok, it's finally where i think it oughtta be. that is, i picked this book up months ago on mikes reccommendation, and have never been satisfied with it, but kept picking it up because it was premier creators on a flagship title. well kids, the ship has finally launched. huzzah.
  • Deadline #4: $ D
it's a mini, so it's over, now. i didn't actually like this series, even though it garnered so much acclaim, but i did want to have the whole thing for that very reason. that is, it'll be easier to sell in it's entirety, eventually.
  • Incredible Hulk #43: $ K
another solid hulk outing. fun to see the big green guy catch a bullet in his teeth. looking forward to more.

no best of week this week. why? because nothing really caught my eye as being really outstanding. maybe spidey, but it was good really only in comparison to it's previous badness. of those read, batman, spidey and hulk get the kudos, i guess.
